Belgium, 06-May-2014 / European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP),

Next week (14-15 May) a unique event will bring together representatives of hospital pharmacy from 34 countries, alongside spokespeople for a broad range of healthcare professional and patient organisations to help decide the future direction of hospital pharmacy practice development in Europe!

EAHP invites members of the media to join the Summit discussions, where hospital pharmacists, patients and other healthcare professionals will finalise and vote on a charter setting out new benchmarks for the future role of hospital pharmacists in Europe.
We also thought it would be useful to share with you some recent video interviews in which:
• EAHP President Dr. Roberto Frontini, reminds of the over-riding purpose of the proposed European Statements of Hospital Pharmacy, and why the involvement of patients and other healthcare professionals is so important (41 sec);
• EAHP Director of Professional Development Aida Batista recaps about how the proposed European Statements of Hospital Pharmacy were formed (4m, 40 sec); and,
• Summit Facilitator Professor Neal Maskrey explains the purpose of the Delphi consultation on the proposed statements, the outcomes, and the beneficial insights the process brought (6m, 6 sec).
